Dance Classes

A dance class

This form of dance is hugely enjoyable. Classes are held in Bath and Bradford-on Avon

In Bath: Classes for all levels of ability on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesdays every month at 8pm in the Holy Trinity Church Hall (off Queen Square). Schedule for coming year

In Bradford-on-Avon: Classes for all levels of ability on the alternate Mondays in the United Church Hall, Trowbridge Road. Telephone 01225 863228 or 01225 722509 for current time table.

You do not need a costume or a partner to join in but you should wear comfortable shoes

We make a charge of £4 for each class to cover the cost of hiring the hall etc

Bath is an increasingly popular location for film and TV projects. Dancing skills in costume increase your chances of being involved in these productions. For those interested in entering this world learning dances of the period gives you an advantage

While you don't need a costume to take part in classes, if you want to represent the Jane Austen Dancers at events you will need an authentic costume. Please discuss this with one of the committee before making or buying, so that we can give you as much help and advice as possible

You can download PDF copies of our new starters information sheet for your own use
